Deputy Permanent Observer of the State of Palestine to the UN, Ambassador Majed Bamya, tells Sky’s Yalda Hakim that the acknowledgement of Palestine by many countries is "a reminder that Palestine is entitled to liberty".
He went on to say that this move recognised the vision that the Palestinian Authority can "take over in Gaza" and a situation where "Israel withdraws instead of trying to displace our population and seize our land" is an option.
