Israel has blocked the entry of all goods and humanitarian aid into Gaza and demanded Hamas agree to a US plan for an extension of phase one of the peace deal which ended on Saturday.

The new proposal would extend phase one of the deal for a further six weeks and would see half of the remaining hostages held in Gaza released. But Hamas has responded accusing Israel of ‘cheap blackmail’.
