Israel has rejected claims from the British government that it played a "key role" in securing peace between Israel and Hamas.
Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson had told Sky’s Trevor Phillips that Britain "played a key role behind the scenes" in securing peace.
But Israel’s deputy foreign minister Sharren Haskel said Britain’s recognition of Palestine had "emboldened Hamas".
