Israel ‘rogue state’ setting Middle East ‘ablaze’ says Arab League

"A rogue state" which is "setting the entire region ablaze" – that is how the head of the Arab league described Israel’s actions today.

He was speaking at an emergency Arab Islamic summit, convened following Israel’s strike on Hamas leaders in Qatar’s capital last week.

But no concrete measures seem to have emerged from the summit – and as the leaders continue to talk – in Gaza, Israeli strikes killed more than 50 people and thousands more fled their homes in Gaza city.
