The Houthis in Yemen are one part of the tangle – attacking Israel and global shipping, claiming solidarity with Gaza’s Palestinian population.
Over the weekend their attacks escalated. But so did Israel’s campaign in Gaza.
The Israeli military is preparing to occupy the Strip after it broke the ceasefire in March and stopped all aid. Perhaps President Trump’s eagerness to declare peace somewhere stems from the fact that he is due to travel to the Gulf next week.
