Israel has announced that it will end its 11-week aid blockade and will allow what it described as "basic" amounts of food into the famine-threatened Gaza strip.
The move follows several warnings by human rights organisations that Israel was at risk of breaching international law by imposing the siege on the war-torn enclave.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced criticism about ending the blockade from hard line right-wing ministers including Bezalel Smotrich.
