The Israeli military said it would begin a “tactical pause” in fighting in three areas of Gaza and open secure routes for aid delivery, as Israel faces increasing international criticism over mass starvation in the territory.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said 127 people, including 85 children, have died from malnutrition since the war began.
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) warned nearly one in three people not eating for days at a time, with around 470,000 people enduring famine-like conditions.
Several hundred of Palestinians have also been killed in recent weeks while trying to reach food distribution sites.
On Saturday, Israel denied there is starvation in Gaza, saying "this is a false campaign promoted by Hamas".
