The Israeli military has promised "renewed enforcement of the ceasefire" hours after it launched airstrikes southern Gaza and accused Hamas of violating the agreement between the two sides.
In a statement, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said: "Following a series of significant strikes in response to Hamas’ violations, the IDF has begun the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire, in line with the terms of the agreement.
"The IDF will continue to uphold the ceasefire agreement and will respond firmly to any violation of it."
It comes after it claimed "terrorists" fired an anti-tank missile at Israeli troops who were operating in the Rafah area in southern Gaza.
The area is part of Israeli-controlled Gaza, as marked out in the ceasefire agreement.
Hamas denied being involved in the clashes, the group saying it was committed to the ceasefire agreement.
