Israel has warned civilians in southern Lebanon to evacuate to the north of the Litani River, declaring that anyone remaining close to Hezbollah positions was "endangering their life".

Explosions have been reported across Lebanon including the capital Beirut where a hotel was hit in a city suburb, while officials said six people were killed in strikes on two nearby towns.
