Israel won’t be involved in Gaza aid plan – US

Israel and Hamas will not be involved in aid distribution in Gaza, but Israel will help provide security, according to the US ambassador to Israel.

The United States has set up a new foundation designed to help deliver supplies, after the UN warned that more than two million Palestinians face imminent famine.

Israel has blocked all aid going into Gaza since March when the temporary ceasefire fell through.
