Israeli military say leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, was killed in an operation in Southern Gaza after a year in hiding.
He was the architect of the 7 October attacks and described by Israel as a master murderer. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged that his army will continue in "full force" until the hostages are freed.
Sky’s Middle East correspondent Alistair Bunkall was in Jerusalem with the reaction following Sinwar’s death.
