The number of children being caught with knives in the South West has significantly increased in the last 10 years, according to figures obtained by ITV News from police.
Figures from Avon and Somerset Police, Wiltshire Police, Gloucestershire Police and Devon and Cornwall Police show there were 211 children caught with knives in 2024, compared with 119 in 2015.
ITV News has spoken to a teenager who said he feels he has "no choice" but to carry a knife, claiming there is a culture of "kill or be killed" on the streets of Gloucestershire.
