A new fast tracked law to tackle deepfake porn has come into force today.

The Government said they had expedited the legislation which makes it a criminal offence for anyone to create or request deepfake intimate images of adults without consent.
It follows widespread outcry over the creation of sexualised images by X’s AI chatbot Grok.
Campaigners say there’s still a long way to go to protect women and girls from image based abuse.
