ITV News’ Business Editor Joel Hills explains the uncertain future that public service broadcasting in the UK faces.
It’s after it emerged Britain’s biggest paid-for TV provider – Sky – is bidding to buy the ITV brand, taking over its channels and streaming service.
The deal is worth around 1 point 6 billion pounds but the sale wouldn’t include ITV Studios which makes programmes such as "I’m a Celebrity" and "Love Island".
Any agreement could prompt the competition regulator to intervene.
