
The National Chair of the Prison Officers Association, Mark Fairhurst has said he is glad the government is listening to the voice of the frontline as "the frontline have all the solutions".
Speaking to Sky News, Mark Fairhurst said digitising and modernising the IT system could "eradicate" human error.
He said that there have been "more assaults on staff than there’s ever been". Adding that staff shortages have caused morale to be at "rock bottom"
