James Cleverly has rejected suggestions that criticism of Chancellor Rachel Reeves is misogynistic.
The Chancellor hit out at ‘misogynist’ critics in a private briefing with Labour MPs ahead of her impending Budget.
Speaking to GB News Breakfast, the Shadow Levelling Up Secretary said there was ‘plenty to criticise’ without ‘discussing her sexual gender.’
He said: ‘In politics it is absolutely right that we criticise people for the decisions they make for things that they do. I don’t think it’s legitimate to criticise person for for basically their chromosomes.’
