James Roscoe has been appointed the interim UK ambassador to the United States, Downing Street has confirmed.
It follows Lord Mandelson being fired from the job because of his relationship with convicted sex offender and dead paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Roscoe has taken over with immediate effect.
