Japanese nuclear bomb survivors win Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to a Japanese group, Nihon Hidankyo, which represented survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings.

The committee said it was awarding the prize for the group’s efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons, and to demonstrate why they must never be used again.
