Comedian Jimmy Kimmel has issued a tearful apology for his comments about Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
He was speaking as his show returned to air, a week after he was suspended for a controversial monologue in which he suggested the MAGA movement was trying to capitalise on the killing.
But Kimmel was less than apologetic towards the ABC affiliates who suspended his show, saying: "That’s not legal. That’s not American. It’s un-American."
He went to praise Mr Kirk’s widow Erika for her comments that she had forgiven her husband’s killer.
