Former Hong Kong media chief and critic of China, Jimmy Lai, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

The British citizen was convicted in December on counts of sedition and colluding with foreign forces.
Today’s sentence in a Hong Kong court means he could die in prison and it brought condemnation from the British and Japanese governments.
Sir Keir Starmer had raised his case during his recent meeting in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
