Journalist freed from Iranian jail

A 29-year-old Italian journalist has been freed from an Iranian prison after being detained since December 19th.

Cecilia Sala’s arrest was thought to be a reprisal for the arrest three days earlier at a Milan airport of a Swiss-Italian businessman and alleged arms trafficker with links to the Iranian regime.
