Judge in DC pipe bomb case will not decide suspect’s detention today

A federal judge declined Tuesday to make an immediate decision about whether the suspected 2021 Washington, DC, pipe bomber, Brian Cole Jr., will be held in jail as he awaits trial.

Cole has been charged with placing two explosive devices near the Republican and Democratic national committee buildings on the eve of the January 6, 2021, riot at the US Capitol.
