'Judge Labour on their actions, not their words', says shadow minister

Court decisions where people were granted asylum after arguing they had a "right to family life" will be reviewed as the government plans to ban migrants convicted of sex offences, the home secretary said.

Shadow home office minister Matt Vickers MP has cast doubt on whether the government will implement these measures.

He mentioned an amendment which was voted on in parliament to stop the Human Rights Act being applied to immigration and similar deportation cases and said, "the Labour Party voted against it."
