Martin Daubney wants all ‘virtue signalling nonsense’ out of football, after UEFA unveiled a banner before the European Super Cup Final in Italy.
The banner, which was displayed ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to PSG, read: "Stop killing children, stop killing civilians."
Reacting to the statement, Martin recalled all the times political messages made their way into football, saying: ‘Stop forcing politics down our throats. Make it about the football. We go to the football to escape this nonsense.’
