Prime Minister Keir Starmer has given a major speech at Downing Street about his plans for government ahead of parliament’s return from the summer recess next week.
Sir Keir said "growth is the number one priority of this Labour government", adding "things are worse than we ever imagined" after discovering a £22bn "black hole" in the public finances.
