Kemi Badenoch has criticised the Labour Government after it was revealed rejoining an EU scheme would cost Britain £8 billion.
The Erasmus scheme, which allows British students to study, train or gain work experience across the EU, is set to cost significantly more than the £570million initially touted.
Speaking exclusively to GB News Chief Political Correspondent Katherine Forster, the Conservative Party leader said it was a ‘terrible waste of money.’
She said: ‘These people cannot negotiate. There was a deal that was negotiated by Conservatives. It wasn’t perfect, but it is a lot better than anything that Labour is doing right now. They are making everything worse.’
