A major incident has been declared in Kent where tens of thousands of households have been left without water or with intermittent supplies.
South East Water has blamed the cold weather and a power cut for causing a series of burst pipes and leaks. Affected households in Kent and Sussex have been told to collect bottled water from collection points – warning that some supplies might not be restored until Thursday.
