The King gathered some of the top names in artificial intelligence at Dumfries House in Ayrshire to warn about the potential for the technology to "develop darker capacities" and falling into the wrong hands.
It comes amid a flurry of dire warnings recently and after OpenAI reported how one of their models tried to secretly rewrite their own instructions.
Will this be the clarion call to action the industry needs?
