Kiwis hatch in the wild for first time in 100 years

Two ‘ridiculously cute’ kiwi chicks have hatched in the wild for the first time in more than 100 years, near Wellington in New Zealand.

Conservationists had reintroduced the birds to the city last year after their numbers fell to ‘alarmingly lows’.
