The Greens’ new leader has attacked Keir Starmer’s government during his party conference address. Zach Polanski called it a ‘failing government’ and said Britain’s political class was ‘poisoned by extreme wealth’.
In a packed room in Bournemouth on Friday, Polanski announced he would introduce wealth tax for richest 1%, made a strong defence of migration and criticised the government for aping the far right. He also marked Thursday’s terrorist attack at a synagogue in Manchester saying: ‘As a Jewish man raised in north Manchester, I feel this deeply and my heart is with the community’
