Labour peer Lord Glasman has told Sky News that he advised against the appointment of Peter Mandelson to the prime minister’s chief of staff Morgan McSweeney.
Speaking on Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips, he said: "What I wrote was he (Mandelson) was the wrong man, in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was a very inappropriate choice."
