Labour peer Harriet Harman is calling for Lord Mandelson to be stripped of the party whip and banned from parliament’s upper chamber ahead of his expected return to the UK.
It comes after Britain’s former ambassador to the US was sacked from the Washington-based job last week over new revelations about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has claimed not to know Lord Mandelson, despite having met him in the Oval Office in May.
