Lake Windermere pollution levels ‘really concerning’, water tests reveal

Lake Windermere contains "really concerning" levels of pollution – according to scientific tests carried out by volunteers.

The Freshwater Biological Association said more than a thousand samples of water were collected from 100 locations – and showed levels of harmful bacteria and phosphorus which fall below water quality standards.
