Lawmakers introduce ‘AI Kill Switch Act’: How would it work?

As AI anxiety grows, Congressman Ted Lieu is pushing for a mandatory "kill switch" to pull the plug on rogue programs. On September 11, the congressman and co-sponsor of the AI Kill Switch Act told CNN’s Erin Burnett: "It should be the first principle of AI safety that humans must be able to turn off AI systems and AI agents."
