Le Pen vows to fight ‘witch hunt’ ban from French politics

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has told a huge rally in Paris that she will fight peacefully against her five-year ban on running for office.

Last Monday, a Paris court found Le Pen and two dozen members of her National Rally party guilty of embezzling EU funds and imposed a sentence that prevents her from standing in France’s 2027 presidential election.
