Rishi Sunak has indicated that 2024 will be a general election year.
But he said it was more likely than not that Britons would go to the polls in the second half of the year – not May.
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer urged the prime minister to call an earlier vote, arguing Mr Sunak had "something to hide" by delaying it.
