Last year, after a public apology in Parliament for the wrongs of the past, the Government promised to pay affected veterans up to £70,000. But seven months later – hundreds are still waiting. It’s the kind of delay which is all too familiar for those impacted by other scandals – from the Post Office to Windrush.
