Liam Payne: One Direction star dies aged 31 after balcony fall

Shocked fans have been gathering outside the Buenos Aires hotel where former One Direction star Liam Payne has died after falling from a balcony.

His family says they are heartbroken, and will remember him for "his kind, funny and brave soul".

The 31-year-old singer shot to global fame with the boy band when he was just 16 and had previously spoken about problems with alcohol.
