The Liberal Democrats won 71 seats, their highest ever tally.
They took two constituencies of two former Tory Prime Ministers, David Cameron in Witney and Theresa May in Maidenhead.
The Lib Dems also unseated multiple prominent Tory cabinet ministers in what was a very successful night for Sir Ed Davey and his party.
