It is almost a year since Hamas fighters launched an attack on Israel, sparking the latest conflict in the Middle East.
Israelis living in a kibbutz close to the Gaza border say it seemed like "the end of the world", when militants rampaged through their community, killing residents and taking hostages on 7 October.
