A man who killed "Good Samaritan" Chris Marriott by driving into the middle of a wedding brawl was found guilty of murder.
Marriott, 46, was out for a post-Christmas walk when he was hit by Hassan Jhangur’s car and left trapped underneath.
Jhangur, 25, of Whiteways Road, Sheffield, used his Seat Ibiza as a weapon after a fight between two families at his sister’s wedding reception on 27 December 2023.
Jhangur first drove into the father of the rival Khan family, his trial heard earlier this year, before he crashed into a group of four people – including Marriott.
Jurors heard Marriott was killed and the three others were injured, including off-duty midwife Alison Norris and Jhangur’s own mum and sister.
Jhangur then stabbed his new brother-in-law, Hasan Khan, several times.
He was found guilty in July of murdering Marriott.
However, he was cleared of attempting to murder Hasan Khan, but guilty of wounding, and convicted of four charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Alison Norris, Ambreen Jhangur, Nafeesa Jhangur and Riasat Khan.
His dad, Mohammed Jhangur, aged 57, of Whiteways Road, Sheffield, was found guilty of perverting the course of justice after he concealed a knife.
