A “long-standing, committed jihadist” planned a terror attack on a military site with the man who went on to commit a fatal knife attack at a Manchester synagogue, a court has heard.
Mohammed Bashir, 31, drove Jihad Al-Shamie, 35, on a 10-hour round trip to conduct hostile reconnaissance at the UK Defence Academy in Shrivenham, Swindon, on 14 August last year before they deliberately disposed of their mobile phones.
This morning he is being sentenced in court.
