He was at the height of his popularity when he was murdered outside his Miami mansion in 1997. Now his creative legacy is being celebrated in a retrospective exhibition charting 10 years of his collections, from the bold, colourful prints of the 80s to the iconic Liz Hurley safety pin dress.
