Lough Neagh, the largest freshwater lake in the UK and Ireland, is being poisoned by a toxic blue-green algae, which is being blamed for killing fish, birds and dogs.
This has raised concerns about public health, as the lough provides about 40% of Northern Ireland’s drinking water.
