Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenka says Russia has deployed its latest nuclear-capable missiles to Belarus. The newly developed Russian hypersonic, nuclear-capable missile known as the "Oreshnik" was first tested as a conventionally armed version in a strike on a Ukrainian factory in November 2024. Russian President Vladimir Putin has boasted that the missile is impossible to intercept. He’s also said he’s prepared to use the missile against Ukraine’s allies.
The Belarusian leader outlined his country’s role in the event of an escalating conflict.
