A teenager who murdered three of his family members and was arrested before he could carry out a planned school shooting has been sentenced to a minimum of 49 years in prison. ITV News Reporter Ellie Pitt and Correspondent Sejal Karia have the latest. Warning: some of the details from the case are distressing.
Nicholas Prosper, 19, has admitted shooting his mother and siblings at their home in Leabank Court, Luton.
On 13 September 2024, he murdered his mother Juliana Falcon, 48, brother Kyle Prosper, 16, and sister Giselle Prosper, 13.
He had been planning to then carry out a shooting at a nearby primary school, but was found and arrested by police while waiting for the school to open for the day.
Judge Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb paid tribute to Prosper’s victims, saying their deaths saved the lives of children targeted in his plans.
