Lynda La Plante released new crime novel at 82 years old | ITV News

The name Lynda La Plante will forever be associated with the crime drama, Prime Suspect – which made Dame Helen Mirren a star – and pioneered the idea of a female police chief on British television.

Lynda first started writing when she was an actor – because there weren’t enough decent female roles.

She’s now 82 and still at it – living proof that she is not past her Prime.
