French President Emmanuel Macron has found himself in the center of a diplomatic storm – after recent comments he made defending the presence of French troops in Africa.
Today, France began the process of withdrawing troops from Chad permanently.
Macron sparked a backlash from several African leaders, accusing them of ‘failing to say thank you’ to French troops battling Islamist insurgencies in several African countries.
