Macron and Trump discuss Ukraine peace prospects at White House

Three years after Russia invaded Ukraine, the French President is at the White House on a mission to stop Donald Trump sacrificing Ukraine to Vladimir Putin.

Emmanuel Macron says some European countries would be ready to send peacekeepers to Ukraine as a security guarantee after a peace treaty is signed.

But he said they would not be sent to the frontline. The US President said his Russian counterpart would accept European peacekeepers.
