A plane believed to be carrying Nicolas Maduro landed near Stewart Air National Guard Base in New York, after the Venezuelan president was captured by US forces in Venezuela this morning.
The president and his wife had been embarked aboard the USS Iwo Jima, an American assault ship, which was bound for the US.
